Of the million or so variations of wooly buggers, this is my personal favorite.  I guess it best represents some type of Crawdad (a favorite trout food found just about everywhere) – this fuzzy, fluffy gob of feathers really does the job.  Tumble it low and slow or twitch it through some cobble or in stillwater bring it home with a slow jerky strip – don’t be surprised at what happens.  My second choice is an Olive variation with Olive Marabou, Light & Dark Olive Chenille body and Olive Hackle, but this is another style where you can let your imagination run wild.
