Rose's Blue Cheese Nut Ball

a

Another simple favorite from Grandma Rose - great for the Holidays, Trout Unlimited Chapter Meetings or any other special occasion (like Wednesday afternoons).  Put everything except the Pecans and Crackers in a large mixing bowl - let it all set at room temp for an hour or so to soften things up and mix thoroughly.  Drop the mix onto a sheet of aluminum foil, wrap it up and chill in the fridge for a couple hours to firm it up.  Gently shape into a sphere-like shape (still in the foil to prevent gooey  fingers), open up and press the chopped pecans onto the orb surface and you're done!  Grab a gob, apply to your cracker and chow down.  Goes well with Red Wine - maybe a Valpolichella, Canadian Beer, Dr. Pepper or just about anything else you have chillin' in the ice box.

Ingredients

2 Packages Cream Cheese - Softened at Room Temperature

2  Tablespoons  Finely Chopped Shallot

1/2 Stick Real Butter - Softened at Room Temperature

2 - 3 oz.   Crumbled Blue Cheese

1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans

Keebler Toasted Sesame Crackers (or your favorite  cracker)
